Hats Off to a Cure: Wed. 2/21 pay $1.00 to wear a hat all day. Elementary students pay your teacher. Money goes towards your class total. Grades 7-12 students, teachers & staff pay Mrs. Kneifl. Wear a hat and show support for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society!!!

Congratulations Competitive Speech: The Competitive Speech team participated at the Wakefield Sweet Meet on Friday. Bringing home 3rd place medals were Cassidy Thomas (JV Entertainment) and Ashley Kraemer (JV Humorous). Second place honors were given to Katie Bathke (Varsity Persuasive). Congrats!

Nebraska Journal Leader: Callie Anderson will be the Allen news contributor for the Nebraska Journal Leader out of Ponca. Please email Callie with anything that you would like to have in the paper each week. I will be sure to check the weekly calendar, bulletin and school website for pertinent information to submit. All information must be submitted to the editor in Ponca by each Monday at noon in order for it to be in that week's paper.

National FFA Week: February 18th thru February 24th is National FFA Week.

Congratulations Wrestlers! All three Wakefield-Allen wrestlers medalled at state this weekend! Congratulations to Isaac Verzani on his 5th place finish, and to Cesar Sandoval and Julio Sanchez on their 6th place finishes. These wrestlers worked extremely hard and represented their schools and Northeast Nebraska well! Congratulations!!

Congratulations Katie: Katie Bathke attended the National Association of Academies of Science, American Junior Academy of Science Annual conference in Austin, TX February 14th-18th. At the annual conference Katie presented her scientific research to the academy and was inducted as an honorary lifetime fellow to the American Junior Academy of Science. The title of her research project is “The Effects of Basil and Oregano on Xanthomonas vasicola pathovarvasculorum”. Katie conducted her research at Allen Consolidated schools in conjunction with Wayne State College and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Pennies For Patients: Allen Consolidated Schools will be participation in the Pennies for Patients program. This will take place from Feb 5th - Feb 23rd. All Pre K-12th grade students and parents are encouraged to take part in this important program. This program's purpose is to raise funds for children fighting blood cancers. Thank you for your support.

ALL JUNIORS- Class Dues: are due by Friday March 16th. Please get your $20 to Mrs. Anderson or Mrs. Dickens by that date.

Book Fair: the Book Fair will be in the Library 2/15 - 2/21 from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. and 2/22 from 8:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. Come and check out the great books.
